From Dusk till Dawn PNEK Art Prize

The winners of this years From Dusk till Dawn PNEK Art Prize: WAAAHAWAD - We Are All Alone Here And We Are Dead and Kirsty Kross

Kirsty Kross is a performance artist from Australia. Since 2015 she has been based in Oslo and is a board member of Performance Art Oslo. In her artistic work Kirsty combines performance,  music, drawing and elements of installation art. She often uses her body and her biographical background as a starting point for her work. The performance at the Kunstnernes Hus was titled Falling down the stairs in A major. It was about the attention economy and ecological problems as well as the rise of the one percent and fascism, the desire to be on top. As humans we are fucked by our general nature.

WAAAHAWAD was invited to perform at the PNEK Art Prize Ceremony at Kunstnernes Hus in March 2017. The artists filled the first floor of Kunstnernes Hus  with a mix of audio and visual experiments both for the invited audience and accidental public enjoying the evening at the venue’s restaurant.
